Little Owls....

About a two or three years ago I discovered a breeding pair of little owls in a field, luckily owned by my mum. No words exist to articulate just how chuffed I was that we had them as residents. I instantly bought a pop up chair hide with some camouflage netting to throw over it and started just sitting and watching them do their thing. Within a couple of days I'd located their nest tree and decided to relocate my hide in order to start getting some shots. A few years on and they've successfully wormed their way into top spot as my favourite animal. I know I know, they're an introduced species and 'they shouldn't even be here' but the fact is, they are here, and they just so happened to be one of the most beautiful animals we have in the UK.

I am currently working on a personal film project documenting their decline in numbers within the UK, so if this interests you and you'd like to keep up to date on my project, then please follow me on Twitter.
